Syngenta today announced that the fungicide chlorothalonil has been approved for inclusion in Annex 1 under EU Directive 91/414, which allows for continued registration in EU countries. Chlorothalonil is marketed as a straight product as BRAVO® and in combinations under several brand names including AMISTAR® OPTI and ALTO® ELITE.

“This decision ensures that European farmers will retain a very important tool for disease control and particularly for resistance management in cereals and other crops”, said John Atkin, Chief Operating Officer of Syngenta Crop Protection.

AMISTAR® OPTI, a combination product containing AMISTAR®, the broadest spectrum cereal fungicide, and BRAVO®, offers farmers a unique solution for combating many diseases including Septoria, a serious fungal disease in European cereals, which is developing strains that other treatments do not fully control.

Chlorothalonil is registered in all major regions for fungal disease control in a wide range of crops including cereals, fruit, potatoes, vegetables and turf.

EU genehmigt Re-Registrierung des Fungizids Chlorothalonil

Die EU hat das Fungizid Chlorothalonil gemäss EU-Richtlinie 91/414 in die EU-Registrierungsliste Anhang 1 aufgenommen und damit die Re-Registrierung in den Ländern der Europäischen Union ermöglicht. Das hat Syngenta heute bekannt gegeben. Chlorothalonil ist unter dem Markennamen BRAVO® und, in Kombination mit anderen Wirkstoffen, unter Markennamen wie AMISTAR® OPTI und ALTO® ELITE erhältlich.

„Mit dieser Entscheidung ist gewährleistet, dass den Landwirten in Europa ein überaus wichtiges Mittel gegen Pilzkrankheiten und vor allem auch gegen deren Resistenzen bei Getreide und anderen Nutzpflanzen erhalten bleibt“, sagte John Atkin, Chief Operating Officer (COO) von Syngenta Crop Protection.

AMISTAR® OPTI ist ein Kombinationsprodukt aus AMISTAR®, dem Getreidefungizid von Syngenta mit dem breitesten Wirkungsspektrum, und BRAVO®. Es bietet Landwirten einen herausragenden Schutz vor zahlreichen Krankheiten einschliesslich Septoria, einer im europäischen Getreideanbau sehr ernst zu nehmenden Pilzerkrankung mit Stämmen, die mit anderen Anwendungen nicht vollständig kontrolliert werden können.

Chlorothalonil ist in allen wichtigen Regionen und Märkten zur Bekämpfung von Pilzen in einer Vielzahl von Nutzpflanzen wie Getreide, Obst, Kartoffeln, Gemüse und Rasen zugelassen.

L’UE autorise la ré-homologation du fongicide chlorothalonil

Syngenta a annoncé aujourd’hui que l’UE avait autorisé l’inscription du fongicide chlorothalonil à l’Annexe 1 de sa Directive 91/414, qui permet de maintenir son homologation dans les pays de l’UE. Le chlorothalonil est commercialisé en tant que produit unique sous la marque BRAVO® ainsi qu’en combinaison avec d’autres produits sous différentes marques, dont AMISTAR® OPTI et ALTO® ELITE.

«Grâce à cette décision, les agriculteurs européens continuent à disposer d’un outil primordial de contrôle des maladies et tout particulièrement de management de la résistance dans les céréales et dans d’autres cultures», a déclaré John Atkin, Chief Operating Officer de Syngenta Crop Protection.

AMISTAR® OPTI combine deux fongicides : AMISTAR®, présentant le spectre d’action le plus large, et BRAVO®. AMISTAR® OPTI offre aux agriculteurs une solution unique pour combattre de nombreuses maladies, dont le Septoria, une grave maladie fongique affectant les cultures céréalières an Europe et développant des souches qui ne peuvent être entièrement contrôlées par d’autres fongicides.

Le chlorothalonil est homologué dans les principales régions pour le contrôle des maladies fongiques sur une large gamme de cultures, dont les céréales, les fruits, les pommes de terre, les légumes et le gazon.
