Euroseeds launches ‘NextGen Forum’ at 2025 Congress in Edinburgh

Brussels, Belgium
September 4, 2025

Euroseeds is excited to announce the inaugural NextGen Forum, taking place on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, from 09:30 to 12:00 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).

This new initiative is designed to open the doors of Europe’s seed sector to the next generation of talent. The forum will bring together Master’s, PhD students, and postdocs from Edinburgh’s leading universities with top industry representatives, including CEOs, research directors, and breeders, in an informal setting.

The aim is to inspire young academics, showcase diverse career paths, and foster connections that could lead to mentorships, internships, and future career opportunities. Up to 30 students will have the chance to engage directly with leaders shaping the European seed industry.

Applications are open from June to September 2025. Eligible students should provide proof of enrolment, a short motivation statement, and a CV, and submit their online application to erika.maugeri@euroseeds.eu. Selected participants will be officially invited and provided with full event details.

The NextGen Forum offers a unique opportunity to explore careers in agriculture, plant breeding, and plant genetics, and to connect with the innovators of the European seed sector.

For more information and to apply, visit the Euroseeds Congress website.
