New website offers information and resources about weed management techniques to minimise the risk of developing glyphosate resistance
Australia
January 17, 2007

A website built by the Glyphosate Sustainability Working Group contains useful information and resources about weed management techniques to minimise the risk of developing glyphosate resistance.

The GRDC, the CRC for Australian Weed Management and CropLife Australia have contributed to this website.

It contains answers to frequently asked questions, fact sheets, information about identifying and testing for glyphosate resistance and a database of resistant weed populations.

GRDC Crop Protection Manger, John Sandow said the site was an excellent tool for growers and agronomists and he encouraged them to visit it and share the information.

"If herbicide resistance is suspected, weed samples should be tested to aid future weed control and stop resistance from spreading," he said.

"Information about how to test for resistance is also found on the website."
