Regional Sales Manager, US/Canada
Location: U.S. East Coast or Mid-West MAIN GOAL
Reporting to the General Manager, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales, market share and margin of the Vilmorin products in US and Canada
LOCATION
- Ideal candidate will reside in the East Coast or Mid-West. The preferred location is the greater Chicago area and its suburbs.
CORE ACTIONS
- Consolidate and propose sales and production forecasts to the General Manager
- Manage expense and sales budget for the activity in the course of the year according to agreed budgets in order to achieve target margins.
- Supervise regularly the adaptation of the production budgets and forecasts according to market needs.
- Propose and implement a pricing strategy for the region.
- Propose and implement distribution strategies.
- Collaborate with the Development Manager to organize and implement promotional events in the area.
- Ensure the regular follow-up of key accounts.
- Follow up and negotiate product performance claims after validation by the GM.
- Become the liaison between Corporate Headquarters (France) and US/Canada for the implementation of world-wide sales strategies for key products.
PROFILE
- Education: B.S in Agronomical engineering or related field; Proficiency in the English language required, French preferred; basic computer knowledge.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years sales management in the seed industry.
- Skills: team oriented; adaptable and self motivated; analytical thinking; ability to adjust to different personalities; ability to travel extensively; goal oriented; organization skills; initiative; ability to motivate others.
