Job description
- The Local Sales Promoter (LSP) is responsible for developing sales and achieving the product development in the area,
- Focus of the position is working with the company’s Dealer Network,
- Frequent travel to meet with customers and visit trials,
- Ongoing reporting about trial results, market situation and evolution,
- This ideal candidate will have an aptitude to work with autonomy and control costs and expenses,
Missions, essential duties and responsibilities include:
Sales:
- Sales and forecasting with the customers,
- Daily contact with Customer Service support staff to confirm orders and accuracy,
- Strong product knowledge during trial evaluations to promote sales
Product development:
- Development of trials with customers focusing on: market needs, samples, follow up by visiting trials, observation, discussion with dealers and reporting to the manager and Product Managers,
- Development trials with processing companies directly: organizing, planting, and evaluating development material with grower representative,
- Team work with the research team for the pre-development stages (T3), and with the Product Managers for pre-development and development stages,
Marketing:
- Market information,
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) meeting as needed and appropriate requested,
- Make proposals for product communication and advertisement,
- Visit of fields with Product managers,
- Communication with marketing department, make proposals for product communication and advertisement: brochures, branding, packaging etc.…
Report to: Dealer Account Manager,
Aptitudes: Sales, Product Development, Travel by road and air, Autonomy and Communication skills.
Territory: the main area is California but includes also the South West (CO, AZ, NM, including Texas) and the Pacific North West (OR, WA, B.Columbia)
