Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

• Responsible for specific projects in the field: plant phenotyping for discovery work
• Evaluation support on Digital phenotyping 
• Data entry and report of field trials such as Phenotypic data for fruit and yield traits from the field 
• trials.
• Seed harvest and processing for international shipments, watermelon seed harvest from inbred line development nurseries and processing if needed.
• Greenhouse activities (pollination and plant maintenance, recording of pollination and fruit set progress. 
• Information management in Greenhouse, recording pollination data and fruit set. 
• Complete a project under Melon/watermelon team 

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need:

• Enrolled in College or BSc completed. Preferred fields: Horticulture, Agronomy,
• Crop Sciences, Plant Sciences, Biology.
• Ability to work in group and independently.
• Attention to details
• Pro-active, engaged, and creative
• Committed to work and punctuality
• Excellent communication skills: clarity, concision, and ability to quickly learn new processes.
• Valid CA driver's license

o    This position’s range is $22 - $25/hr
Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures.  As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.
