Job description

The purpose of this position is to lead and integrate all Product Development and Sales activities for Hazera in the Desert Southwest region. You are responsible for driving the commercial success of Hazera’s vegetable seed portfolio by managing both pre-commercial and commercial trials, developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and serving as the local crop expert. The position bridges technical product development with market-driven sales initiatives to maximize market presence, customer satisfaction, and business growth across the assigned territory. You will be a member of the commercial division, reporting directly to the West Coast Sales Manager and functionally, in a dotted-line structure, to the National Product Development Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Co-create, support, and execute the Product Development Manager’s strategic plan for your area.
  • Strengthen grower networks and conduct targeted outreach to expand Hazera’s market presence.
  • Analyze market trends and identify variety advancements to drive innovation and ensure successful product launches.
  • Take full responsibility for all pre-, and -commercial trials: planning, grower identification, contracting, sowing, transplanting, and evaluation.
  • Collect and process trial evaluation data, providing weekly updates and monthly reports.
  • Coordinate product development activities with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support claims and complaints management.
  • Assist R&D activities as needed.
  • Co-create, support, and execute the Sales Managers’ marketing plan for your area.
  • Actively promote Hazera products and generate grower demand.
  • Participate in key account meetings with dealers, preparing forecasts and strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key growers and dealer reps; ensure CRM data is up to date.
  • Support and participate in variety launch plans and promotional activities (trade shows, field days, etc).
  • Organize and host international visitors, including trial visits and facility tours.
  • Collaborate on market intelligence, annual market value updates, and grower mapping.
  • Deliver clear, concise messaging and actively promote your crop at field events and via digital platforms.

Note: This role requires up to 80% of its time in the field, hands on work on trials outdoors

What we expect of you

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the vegetable seed business and agronomy; internships, part‑time roles, or other practical student work may be considered as qualifying experience for entry‑level candidates.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment. We do not sponsor employment visas for this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or related field.
  • Proven knowledge of field trials operations.
  • Expertise in MS Office; strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Commercial aptitude, proactiveness, and autonomy in agenda/travel planning.
  • Willingness to travel and work under variable environmental conditions.
  • Flexible working hours during growing seasons.
  • Professional English (spoken and written).
  • Valid driver’s license.
