Safeguarding agriculture and bioeconomy priorities through Horizon Europe

Brussels, Belgium
April 7, 2026

Euroseeds joins a coalition of more than 20 stakeholders and welcomes the draft report by MEP Christian Ehler on the future of Horizon Europe (2028–2034), while urging policy-makers to maintain strong visibility for agriculture and the bioeconomy.

They stress that explicit naming of agriculture and bieconomy is essential to reflect Europe’s strategic priorities, support innovation, and ensure continued investment in food security, sustainability, and rural development.
