Indianapolis, Indiana
October 5, 2009
Mycogen Seeds announces that Eric Frasure has accepted the position of customer agronomist for the Northern Plains district. Frasure joined the Mycogen Seeds team in late August and is located in Bismarck, N.D.
In his new role, Frasure will provide agronomic support to growers and dealers in the western half of North Dakota and South Dakota, primarily working with sunflowers, soybeans, corn and canola.
Frasure will report to Keith Porter, agronomy services leader for Mycogen Seeds.
“As Mycogen Seeds continues to invest heavily in agriculture to bring the latest technologies to the market, it also strives to provide a team of experienced professionals who understand the technology,” Porter says. “Eric’s lifetime agricultural background will not only greatly benefit the company, but also serve as a great resource for the growers in his territory.”
Frasure holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture science from Brigham Young University-Idaho and recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a master’s degree in agronomy with an emphasis in weed science. While working toward his degree, he worked as a graduate research assistant on several projects focusing on weeds and herbicide programs.
“I’m excited to be joining Mycogen Seeds and looking forward to using my past experience to work with and support farmers,” Frasure says.
