USA - New sugarbeet, sunflower seed and planting resources from Syngenta at growers’ fingertips

Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA
April 11, 2013

  • New online tools from Syngenta available for sugarbeet and sunflower growers
  • Web pages serve as comprehensive seeds information warehouse
  • Sugarbeet planting guide helps growers calculate for more accurate planting

Leave the calculator at home. Syngenta is providing sugarbeet growers access to a Sugarbeet Planting Guide as part of its newly designed seeds pages, which serve as a resource center for sugarbeet and sunflower seeds, as well as other crops. The new pages house information specific to seeds, including approved Hilleshög® brand varieties per sugarbeet growing region, available Syngenta sunflower hybrids, yield results and links to management tools and products that address challenges during the growing season.

The Sugarbeet Planting Guide helps growers determine the amount of seed they need to plant to maximize yield potential on their acres. Growers simply select their desired seed spacing, and this unique planting guide calculates seed needs for 22-inch and 30-inch rows.

Growers can access the seed Web pages at:

“We know that growers are spending more time online, and we want to be sure that key seed information is available at their fingertips,” said Tyler Ring, Syngenta product head for sunflower, sugarbeet and wheat seed. “Syngenta works hard to understand the grower’s needs, and with these new sites and planting tool, we hope to make an important part of their year a little easier.”

The planting guide, now available at http://www.farmassist.com/Promo/Sugarbeet_Planting/ will soon be made mobile-friendly.
